2023 Summer Series

Racing will take place one Saturday of each month culminating with a Summer Series award on July 24th.

June Races will coincide with the Annual Regatta on June 19-20. Race results from the 5 regatta races will count to both the standalone regatta as well as the summer series.

Other Saturdays with summer series races will consist of 2 races each, weather permitting, bringing the total number of races in the series to 11. (5 from the annual regatta, and 6 from three Saturdays)

Each sailors score for the series will be a total of their 7 best races. Sailors will receive points per their finishing position after handicap adjustment. ie. 1 point for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd and so on. The sailor with the lowest score at the end of the series wins.

Youth sailors are encouraged to participate! These sailors will sail the same course at the same time as the adult sailors but will be scored separately.

Saturday May 28 - Series Race #1 (two races)

Saturday June 19 - Annual Regatta Day 1 & Series Race #3 (three races)

Sunday June 20 - Annual Regatta Day 2 & Series Race #3 (two races)

Saturday July 24 - Series Race #4 (two races)

All summer series participants will receive one custom Abilene Sailing Association sail tie for each day they race.

Top three finishers of the summer series will receive custom sail cloth duffle bags.

Entry to the Summer Series is free! However, 5 of the Summer Series races will be coincident with the 2022 Annual Regatta. Summer Series entrants will need to pay applicable Annual Regatta entry fees in order to race in the Annual Regatta.
